Hi Rachel, Liz, and Lydia:

My boyfriend and I were just watching the Texas Tech bowl game and were commenting on the penalties at the end. He is an Aggie and I'm a Maryland Terrapin. He made mention of some of the unsportsmanlike conduct of Tech fans, and at first I wrote it off as just college rivalry. After further research, I found that there are other schools out there who have experienced the same unsportsmanlike conduct from Tech fans, not just the Aggie incidents that are all over the internet.

We then found your term paper and found it incredibly insightful. What great ideas you had to help bolster classy behavior among the fans. You're correct in that it doesn't help the future of your great college if the negative reputation precedes you. We're both hopeful that this behavior isn't representative of the entire university, unfortunately it's usually a small number of people who ruin it for everyone.

Great job on the paper, and this Aggie and Terrapin Alum wish you all the luck in your future endeavors.

Best,

Lauren and Daniel.
